This article is not directly related to 'organic' or 'natural', but I think global warming will effect organic and natural crops more than it seems. Organic and natural foods need more care and attention so nothing happens to them. They need the attention because they don't get sprayed with chemicals that turn bugs away. Also, organic crops are less plentiful than conventional crops. Global warming will make growing organic crops more scarce and will feed less people. Also, global warming will cause food and water costs to increase because of the decrease in production. There will be more hungry people and deaths related to malnutrition. The need for organic/natural foods will decrease because it become more important to have food, not a certain type of food.
This article helped me think beyond what global warming will mean for animals and myself. It helped me think of Africans and how the organic industry will be affected. Global warming is a very scary thing that won't be resolved unless everyone does their part and then some. Global warming will hurt everyone and everything, and that is something every person in the world needs to realize. It's closer than it may seem.
